Westmont Community

Westmont Neighborhood is a hidden gem in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Nestled between Route 1 and Route 3 with entrance to both roads, it provides quick access to Interstate 95 as well as historic downtown Fredericksburg.

This established neighborhood had several homes included in the 76th Historic Garden Week in 2009, and it feels like you are a world away from Northern Virginia, when in reality you are only 23 miles south of Quantico Marinecorp Base on I-95 or Route 1; 55 miles south of Washignton, D.C., 23 miles west of Dahlgren  in King George, and 57 miles north of Richmond, Virginia. VRE access is quick from Westmont Neighborhood as well.  It is only three lights from train station, offering a pleasant and ‘greener’ way to commute to work.

For those who work at or near Mary Washington Healthcare, this neighborhood offers easy access to all three hospitals in the Fredericksburg area including Stafford Hospital 9 miles away on Route 1 North, Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center 6 miles away on Route 1 South, and with Mary Washington being only two traffic lights away.

Fredericksburg is home to rich culture, history and entertainment for couples and families! Kenmore Plantation, George Washington’s Ferry Farm, Mary Washington House, Battlefield Park where the Battle of Fredericksburg was fought are among our many historic sites in the Fredericksburg area.  Fredericksburg also hosts many events throughout the year such as Oktoberfest, the Virginia Renaissance Faire, Civil War Paddle, First Fridays, Picnic in the Park, and more!

The heart of downtown Fredericksburg has wonderful shops and restaurants on the main streets of Caroline Street and William Street, like Lydia’s Monogram Gifts, La Petite Auberge Fine Dining, Hyperion Coffee, Ulman’s Jewelry, Jabberwocky Children’s Books and Toys, J. Brian’s Tap Room, the Mock Turtle Children’s Store, Capital Ale House, the Kenmore Inn, the Bavarian Chef, among many other places to shop or wine and dine!
