The Back & Forth
It’s that time here in Virginia when our weather cannot decide what to wear day to day, maybe that’s why we call her “Mother Nature”! One day we have beautiful sunshiny skies and the next we have pellets of ice pinging us in the nose. All this leads to that dreary, unmentionable word- the..the..the…..COLD! We’ve all had it, our children have been passing it around school, and the work places are full of it. Here are a few tips to help prevent, soothe, and relax your puffy nose and barky cough.
- Sanitize everything in the house that you and your family touch often- door knobs, light switches, sink faucets, refrigerator handle, and lastly don’t forget that TV remote! Those Lysol/Clorox wipes really do come in handy guys!
- Immunity- one great protector is OJ, yep that’s right good ole’ natural orange juice.
- Try and stay home and delay that weekly trip to Walmart or the grocery store until your symptoms have passed, because this is how in fact you got the virus- someone not staying home!
- Last but not least if the dreadful cold does invade, relax with a great movie, hot tea with honey to soothe the cough, and lots of tissues will always help!
